MESSAGES TO THE NEW ZEALAND TROOPS
FROM MR. MASSBY AND SIR ' JOSEPH AVAED. (Rec. September 3, 8.15 p.m.) London, September 2. Mr. Massoy and Sir Joseph Ward have issued messages to the Now Zealand troops. Mr. Masscy says ho trusts that the victories will continue until liborty triumphs. "May it come quickly, but until it comes let our soldiers and civilians do their duty m order to make peace honourable and permanent." Sir Joseph AVard congratulates the troops, especially on their capture of Bapauine, which confirmed the Now Zealanders , highest reputation. He found thorn spoken of everywhere in tho highest terms as men as well as soldiers, and regrets that, tho exigencies of the service prevented all Jongsorvico men visiting tho Dominion. This will be granted in future as far as possible ' .. Sir Joseph AVardi also pays a tribute to tho sorviees of the nursing stair, and women mid others who are' assisting in the clubs', canteens, and elsewhere.— Ausi-N.Z. Cable Assn.
