Officers of the trades m 2s were entertained a* afternoon tea in the new Trades Hall on Satui(hv bv the management committee, of the Trades Council. The gathering was very pleasant and successful. The Wellington Musicians' Union provided the 'muuc, a»d Messrs. Gamble and-Creed did the catering. The British Government has taken over a factory in Liverpool Road, London for the- purpose of utilising the waste products of slaughter-houses by making black puddings, faggots, etc. From a mechanical standpoint the CHEVROLET car hae reached a standard of oxoellence that is not surpnsscd in any motor-car.
