DULL WEATHER
Tho weather outlook is not promising. Present indications, states the official report of the Meteorological Department, arc for freshening northerly winds northwards of Hokitika and Lyttelton, and strong casterlios south of these points. Dull and misty weather is probable, with a further general rainfall, heavy in tho north-eastern districts of the South Island, with' snow on tho higher levels. Tho barometer has a falling tendency everywhere
