Christchurch, August 31. the representative hockey match between Auckland and Canterbury was won by Canterbury by three goals to nil, after a fast and exciting game. Patrick, 11. Hell, and Beaton scored for Canterbury. LOCAL LADIES' MATCHES. . The final trial gamo between tho A and B teams of the Wellington Ladies' Hockey Association was played at Karori Park on Saturday. Tho garao was interesting throughout, both sides playing good hockey. In tho first spell the A team had much the best of the game, scoring i goals, while the B team scored 1 goal. In tho second half the 15 team, playing with better combination, put up a good iigjit, each sido scoring 5 goals. Tho A team won by 9 goals to 0. Tho. scorerß for A team were i—Misses Simon (3), Marchbanks (2), Wilkins (2), Lang (2); and, for the B tcant, Misses . George (2), M'Murray (2), Thompson and Gilfodder 1 each. Mr. Edwards had charge of tho game. Juniors. Y.W.C.A. v. Te Aro School.—Tho match between theso teams to decide the Junior Championship was played on No. G, and at.the close of the second spell no score .resulted. It was decided to play an extra fifteen minutes at the call of time, but neither side scored, and the match was drawn. Mr. Dougall was reforee.

(A).—ln the first spell Bascan scored for Y.M.C.A. and Smith scored two goals for Karori. In tho second spell Hogan and Muir scored for Y.M.C.A. and Hull for Karori, At tho call of time scores wore equal, three each; and an extra spell was played. After twonty-flvo minutes' ' play M'lntosli (Karori) scored, Karori thus winning by 4 goals to 3. Messrs. Pragnell and Wheatley were referees. Ramblers . won by default from Y.M.C.A. .(C).
