SAYING PETROL FOR WAR PURPOSES
(ilcc. August 31, 1.20 a.m.) Washington, August 20. Tho Fuel Administration Board lins ntked all motor-car owners not to use their cars on Sunday, in order to fm-g petrol for war purposes. It is estimated that in a single Sunday approximately seven million gallons will bo saved. Compulsory rationing of retrol is not considered necessary at present. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
