GOLDSTEIN'S CONTRADICTORY DECLARATIONS. (Rec. August 30, 9.15 p.m.) Sydney, August 30. The latest development at the I.W.W. Commission is that Goldstein'3 two contradictory declarations, have been published. Tho first accuses the police of accepting bribes of money and suits of clothes from Goldstein in connection with the forged note case, in which Goldstein was arrested and discharged. It alleges that the police placed the fire dope in the pocket of one of tho J.W.W. accused. The second statement withdraws all the charges and admits that the allegations are untrue. They were made because of the persecution and ostracism suffered through acting as a Crown witness.— Press Assu.
