East of Arras the British have breached the Hindenburg line, and their advance in this region menaces Douai and Cambrai. The commanding position gained b.y General Mangin's army north of Soissons is also plainly indicated. Tho enemy retirement in tlie Lys salient, west of Lillo, does not make a very impressive showing on the map, but in this locality the Germans have 10tirwJ .vbt a d lit anon of &»ir milne w wire.
