REPRESENTATIVE TEAM TO MEET canterbury:

The weekly meeting of the Wellington Football Association was held last evening. Present: Mr. A. E. Wells (chairman), Messrs. C. Ward, C. Webster, W. Aukl, H. Yeoman, A. Smith, A. Williams. * The case of a player of the Boys' Institute for using bad language, which tho player denied, was further gone into. Evideneo to prove that ho was not the player in question was brought. Another player attended, and stated l)o was the boy who used the bad language. Tho case was dismissed, but a caution was administered for shielding the boy. Tlio player who used the bail language was suspended for the remainder of tlio season. A donation of £L was received from Mr. B. L. Salmon.

St. David's Fourth Class was granted a postponement of their game with Institute at Petone next Saturday owing to military parade. Owing te the ball bursting thirty-five minutes after the start, the gamo between South Wellington and Thonidon will have to be replayed in the' Fourth A Grade. Tliorndon Fifth B entered a protest against Polly Styles, of Johnsonville, for being over ago. According to the birth certificate, which showed the player in question to be under ago, the protest was dismissed. ,Mr. E. Windlev was appointed manager of tho Wellington Brown Shield team to play Canterbury, on Saturday, September 7. The Wellington team, as selected by Messrs. A. i'J. Wells, H. Yeoman, and E. Windlev, was: —Wi Neera (goal), Cross and Fitzgerald (backs), Rarity, Aukl. W. Wilson (halfbacks). CarnitherS; Ballard. Marshall, Edwards, Mungavin (forwards). Linesman, C. F. AVard.
