PALOONA FROM SAN FRANCISCO. The R.M.S. Paloona arrived in the trcam at 9.20 a.m. yesterday from Sail 1 Francisco, and at 11 o'clook berthed at King's Wharf. As reported by telegraph on Tuesday tho American Bchooner Lucy was arrested by Admiralty action on Saturday. The action was taken on account of the consignees, Wright, Stephenson and Company, who havo put in a claim against tho vessel for £750, principally for oil alleged to have been lost owing to leaky tins. Tlio writ, which is issued by the Supreme Court, was, says an Auckland paper, nailed to the vessel's mast by Mr. A. O. Bowling, marshal to the Supreme Court of New Zealand in Admiralty jurisdiction. A bailiff will stay on the vessel until she has been roleased. The Customs Department has been informed of the matter, consequently the vobscl will be unable to obtain a clearance until she has bqon released. The Lucy arrivod at Auckland on August 14, after a prolonged voyage of 117 days from San Francisco, the .length of the voyage boinir duq largely to a succession of gales.
