BURNSIDE STOCK SALE
By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, August 28. At Burnside to-day 212 fat cattle were yarded. There was a larger pro--portion than usufcl of well-finished prime ' cattlfc, but the trade was over-supplied, and prices 'declined about £1. Nevertheless, a good sale took place. Extra prime bullocks,'£23 2s. 6d. to £27 10s,-; prime, £19 2s. 6d. to £22 17s. 6t1.; medium, £16 10s. to £18 10s.; light, £M to £15 10s.; extra prime heavy heifers, £18 ss. to £20 12s. 6d.; prime, £16 t<j £17 12s. 6d.; medium, £13 10s. to £15; light and aged, £10 10s. upwards. Sheep (1925 penned).—The entry included several pons of extra heavy. Prices wore quite on a par with last week's rates. Extra prime wethers, 535. 6d. to 58s. 3d.; prime, 465. fid. to 51s. 6d.; medium to good, 395. to 455.; light and unfinished, 325. 6d. to 375. fid.; extra primo heavy ewes, 48s. to 525.; primo, 40s. t0~465.'; medium to good, 355. to 395.; mothers, 28s. upwards. A few pons of lambs were offered and sold under keen competition at 265. 3d. to 295. Thcro was a. medium yarding of pigs, and a keen demand. Prices were on a par with last week's rates.
