PRISONERS SENTENCED

In tho Supreme Court Frank Hughes, who was convicted of breaking, entering, and theft, and who lad a previous bad record, was declared an habitual criminal. Harry Cooper [Douglas pleaded guilty to two charges of receiving stolen goods, and was sentenced to two years' imprisonment on each charge, tho terms to be cumulative. Kangi Oto.no Rapika, convicted cf obtaining money by if also pretences, was ordered to come up for sentence when cailed upon. Arthur H. l'\ iFenn, for forgmg a ohequo for £70 and ■uttering the same, was sentenced to Tevormativo detention for a poriod not exceeding live years.
