BOLSHEVISTS
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—Now that the Bolsheviks kvo come out in their true colours and pioi'claimed war on the Allies the question arisos, What are we to do with our local Bolshevists? Shall we ; rtern them as enemy aliens, or shall we > allow them to go on spouting veiled sedition? Noisy, self-assertive individuals—each one of whom thinks himself a budding Leirn or a sprouting Trotsky—are doing all they can to interfere with Now Zealand's efficiency in the war. They call themselves anti-militarists, but with the charming logical inconsistency that distinguishes them from tho ordinary more or less sane individual, they spend their time preaching clnsswar, which they would delight to translate into action, provided there was no risk to their own valuable carcasses. They may ho British lorn, unfortunately, but they pride themselves on being denationalised—internationalists—and they are full of contempt and hatred for everything British— except British gold—conscription of wealth they call it.—l am, SOMES ISLAND.
