A shortago of winter feed for slock is reported from tho South Otago district. Tiio season was bad and tho crop poor. A fortnight ago thero wero railed to tiio South Otago Freezing Works 100 bullocks which would have been curried ovor to the spring, but for the shortago of feed. This state of things applies throughout Southland as well, though Southland does not appear to have suffered from tho rough weather ns much as did the districts lying between Milton and Waipiihi.
