NEW ZEALANDER'S GIFT TO KING ALBERT. (Eec. August 22, 8.10 p.m.) London, August 21. Sir Joseph Ward (New Zealand Finance Minister) has handed to tho Belgian Minister a 'casket made of Now Zealand woods, the gift of a New Zealand lady, for presentation to King Albert. Sir Joseph Ward Baid that the gift was an indication of the New Zealanders' warm feelings towards a courageous and heroia nation. Accompanying the gift were two greenstone tikis. Tho Minister, replying, said that ho felt swro that King Albert would be proud to receive the gift. New Zealand had shown magnificent generosity towards Belgium during the war.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
