URGENT CALL FROM CZECHOSLOVAKS
ENEMY WELL EQUIPPED
(Rec. August 22, 10.45 p.m.) Tokio, August 21. The Japanese War Office publishes a message from the Czech loader stating that thirty thousand Austro-Gerinans, with seventy guns and many machineguns, confront eight thousand Czechs, with six guns. Ho urges the promptest rolief.-Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.

The New York "Times" Washington'' correspondent statos: "It is intimated in official circles that assistance is being sent to tho Czechoslovaks in tho Baikal region, which will reach them in time to thwart the plans of iho German-Austrian prisoners and Bolshoviki. The Allies are sending tho Czecho-Slovaks large quantities of arms and ammunition and heavy artillery." The correspondent adds: Tho landing of Japaneso troops at Vladivostok, with General Otani as Commander-in-Chief of tho Allied forces is confirmed in nn official dispatch. Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
