.At tho Manchester Assizes recently a married woman named Alice Dickinson was awarded J!100 damages in an action against a farmer named Pcndlobury, of ITarwood, near Bolton, for injuries caused by the kick of a cow. Tho plaintiff, who \vn£ working on the defendant's farm, was about to milk a cow when it kicked her, and her lost was permanently injured. The jury held that tho cow "•as vicious to the knowledge of the defendant.
