ORGAN RECITAL
Mr. Bernard F. I'age, city organist, gave another of his recitals in the Town Hall last night. The recital opened with Karg-Elert's "Sonatina in A Minor," tho Ihreo movements of-which presented a striking.variety of theme and were admirably'interpreted by the organist. All "Andante" from a string quartet by Debussy followed, and then a delightful bracket of "Summer Sketches" by Lemare, live in number—'"Dawn," "Tho lice," "Cuckoo," "Twilight." and "Evening." Cesar "Kranek's "Toccata in ]?" concluded tlio first part, of the programme. The second part consisted ol hvo imposing numbers—a Pastorale by Cesar Franck and Bach's "Toccata and Fuguo in C Major." The Pastorale was distinguished by tho musical charm of the first section, and a delightful cadence into tlio minor key which introduced tho second section. This presented an entirely new atmosphere, and at the same, time rc-ccbocd tho theme of tlio first section. ,Tlin next recital will be held 011 September 17.
