The fortnightly meeting of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held Inst evening. Among oilier matters included in the inspector's report were cases of fowls being conveyed by sea without being provided with sufficient food and water. The subscriptions amounted lo JCC 2s. fid., including .£1 is. each from Mrs. 11. Rawson, Sir William Frasor, and Hon. J. G. W. Aitken.
