In tho Supreme Court an action in which Henrietta Winifred Mason, of 71 'Epuni Street, Wellington, tlio wife of Andrew James Mason, of Christchurch, telegraph linesman, proceeded against William Henry Mason, of 259 North Road, Papanui, ffuit-grower, and Lily Mason, liis wife, to recover t 2501 damages in connection with an alleged libel, said to bo contained in a letter sent from I'apanui on October 20, 1917, by Lily Mason to ono Edith Parsonson, in which certain allegations were made reflecting on tho character of tho plaintiff, was concluded, tbe plaintiff being awarded .£SO damages,
