TANGAROA-AYEKA COLLISION. \ })y Telegraph— Press-Association. / 1 Napier, August 19. A nautical inquiry was held to-day into the collision between the Tangaroaand the trawlor AVcka, by which the former was bjully damaged and lel't in a sinking condition. The collision occurred in the Iron Pot, at high tide, on July 13. Mr. R. AV. Dyer, S.M., presided, e.nd , Captains White-Parsons and 0. J. AV. Lake acted as assessors. Evidenco of the officers was taken, 'ami those of the Weka alleged that a. Bag caught in the steering chains, rendering the vessel reluctant to answer the wheel. The inquiry has adjourned till next Monday.
