SOMETHING FOR THE PUBLIC TO SEE, A demonstration. of the work done in the Free Kindergartens of Wellington has been arranged by the Free Kindergarten Association, and will be held in the Masonic Hall on'the afternoons of Tuesday, 'Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. Four kindergartens will take part, the Berhampore. the Tiirahaki Street, Brooklyn, and Wellington South branches, and citizens interested in the vital part of Empire building that, education plays will see the processes by means of which the physical, mental, and moral powers of children are developed.

The need for better accommodation for tho main kindergarten and training centre for students is so great that with tho approval of the Men's Advisory Finance committee Ihe Kindergarten Council has arranged to 'buy n .property in Taranaki Street, upon which is a building which, with some few email alterations,, will be suitable for the next few years. It is in order to pay for this j>: perty thut funds are now urgently needed. Owing to the interest taken in education by the owner,'the association has been able to secure the section at very reasonable terms, viz., .£2460, of which .£750 is to be pnicl by September, and the balance, in not more than five years.
