PRESS DELEGATES CONFER WITH FOOD CONTROLLER.
" (Rec. May 18, 5.5 p.m.) London, August 16. The Australian and New Zealoud editors conferred with. Mr. J. R. Clynee at the Ministry of Food. Mr. Clynes, iu welcoming the members, said he regretted that the shipping stringency had made it impossible for the Government to avail itself of 'the ossential commodities of food and clothing of which Aus- \ tralia and New Zealand had been, great ? suppliers. Hβ would bo very glad it the situation could be rolieved so as Jo enablo the importation'of food from , the ' remote parts of the Empire.
