ON THE ITALIAN FRONT

ARTILLERY ATTACK NEAR SWISS BORDER ALPINE TROOPS ADVANCING New York, August 15. Military circles consider this is (he starting of an Italian offensive, and point out that the Austro-Germans recently concentrated infantry and artillery in tho Trentino region. A successful Italian offensive would endanger the enemy's , Trentino positions. It is further ropnited that .Alpine troops have captured Monte Stello, and are advancing up Monte Albiolo.-Ans.-N.Z.
