Prices for sheep were firm at lato rates, but cattle I were dull of sale, and most of the lines oflerett were passed. Dalgety and Company, Limited, , Paimerston North, report having held their [Sixth annual Sandon hogget sale on August 8, when 8469 sheep wero yarded, of which 7339 were sold. Included in the entry were a number of lines of especially (good sheep, and takeu as a whole the j yarding was quite up to tho usual standard. There was a, good attendance of the ■ local public and buyers wero also present, jfrom Taranaki, Hawera, Wanganui, and nip the Main Trunk line.
