NATIVE RUNS AMUCK
]Sy Telegraph-Press Association. Wanganui, August 15. An elderly Native, Poro Komt To Patu, ran amuck early this morning. He visited the residence of a. .settler, Mr. P. M'Williams, three miles from the town, at 5 o'clock. There he smashed all the windows in the house, and did other damage amounting to .£SO, after which he went to n neighbours and attacked the owner. The latlo/s son, who was nenr by, defended his father with a, spado, knocking down the Native, whose hands were tied to prevent further trouble. Tho Native was taken to the hospital, but is nut badly hurt.
