PROTEST.BY THR CHfUSTCIIURCH PRESBYTERY. By Telegraph—Press Association. ' Christchurch, August 13. Tho Christoiiurch Presbytery carried the following motion to-day: "That the Presbytery, while strongly in favour of all legitimate endeavours to providß trench comforts for soldiers at the front, protest against those patriotic schemes being made a cover for gambling or the desecration of tho flay of rest with nonsacred or semi-sacred Sunday concerts,"
