WONG KING'S LETTER
Sir,—l have been absent from Wellington on a holiday in tho Hawke's Bay, and my attention was drawn by a friend ! to a letter which was published in your issrio of July 26. Tho letter was from Mr. Powell,' regarding his lecture, and also the Chinese Consul's groundless complaint. I am writing this concluding letter to thank Mr. Powell for his letter. In concluding this controversy, I would like to draw attention to the fact that tho Consul did not accept my .£5 challenge proving the validity of Mr. Powell's statements. Tho question is. "Who Plays tho Trump Card: Wong King or Liu Shih Yuan?" My real namo is Wong Ying King. Now (hat the Chinese know who is Wong King, what will they do?—I am, etc., WONG KING. Napior, Angust 8.
