BALLOT TO-DAY
5000 CLASS C MEN. Another 5000 men will bo drawn from Class C, Second Division, by bnllot today. The (jovernnieiit Statistician (Mr. Malcolm i'rascr) will commence the vork at it a.m., and,is likely to complete it during tho afternoon. There arc now SStil reservists remaining in Class C, so that after the 5000 have tan drawn there will be a balance of IISII4 lo be called up next month. The Gazette containing tho names of the men drawn in this month's ballot, and also accretions to the First Division and Classes A and B of the Second Division, will be issued en Wednesday, August 21. The names of the reservists drawn in tho Wellington district and neighbouring districts will lie published in The Dominion that day. Class C (two children) will bo exhausted next month, and ilie call after that will bo upon Class D (three children) The date' of the first ballot in Class D has not'been fixed definitely, but ill any case the D men arc not likely to bo wanted in caini) bel'oro the end of February.
