CAMP NOTES
The following temporary appointments have been approved by tho Camp Commandant at Trentham:—Driver N. J. AY. AVendclborn, P.E.A.S.C, to be corporal. The following men of A Company, Forty-fourth, have teen appointed to the rank of lance-corporal:—Ptcs. H. C. Boot, J. W. Colmihotm, C. C. H. Evisoji, T. L. Huggins, E. J. Simpson, A. CI. Broad, AV. E. J. Davie, J. 11. Hay, AV. B. llunday, P. M. AVinders. Corporal L. AV. Gilbert, of the Fortysixth N.Z.F.A., has now ciuahfiecl in tests laid down for trained signallers, and is now entitled to wear the efficiency badge. The Rev. E. Phelan, chaplain to the forces, fourth class (Roman Catholic), has reported for duly in Featherston Camp. The cup presented by the Cnwp Commandant at Featherston for the best huts and lines has been awarded to the Forty-seventh. Specialist Company, for the week ending August 10.
