A very keen gamo was witnessed on Saturday at tho Association Park between Institute Fourth A and Thorndou, the former winning by 3 goals_to 1. lu the first spell Institute played with tho sun in their eyes, and after some good play by both sides H. Hanson (centre half) kicked a beautiful goal for Institute. There was no further score in that half. In the second spell P. Ward, who was playing a. good game at outsido left, got his reward by kicking the ball and hitting the goalpost. The ball glanced over by one of the Thorndou players, and w<uit into goal. Institute, 2; Thorndou. 0. Then Thorndou woke up, and eventually they scored, amid great excitement. Institute, 2; Thorndon, 1. Institute forwards then took charge, and swept down Ihe field, leading to P. Ward scoring a beautiful goal for Institute. Thus Institute won by 3 goals Y.M.C.A. defeated Marist by 3 goals Porirua. 1; Institute Seniors, 0. Institute Fourth B, 1; St. Thomas, 1. Institute Fifth B. lfi; St. Anne's, 2.
