RALLYING CALL TO THE MINERS
APPEAL BY THE FEDERATION EXECUTIVE. (Rec. August 11, 5.5 p.m.) London, August 9.Tba Press Bureau states that the executive of the. Minors' Federation in Britain, in a manifesto, strenuously appeals to the miners' loyalty to assist to carry out the executive's pledge to the Government to do its utmost to increase the output of coal. The manifesto emphasises the increased demands for supplies for the Allies and neutrals, and also points out that by supplying neutrals we receive foodstuffs, and likewise raw materials, necessary for the prosecution of the war; betides the use of their shipping, which is of the utmost importance at tlio present time.—Aub.-N.55.
