FATAL LORRY ACCIDENT
- By Telegraph.-Press Association. ' Hawera, August 9. jJanveS'-White, of Whafcamara, was riding on a motor-lorry which was taking furniture to Kaupokonui on Wednesday. When going down hill the brako refused to act, 1 arid White jumped off tho loi:ry,. apparently with the intention of spiking the wheels. Hβ slipped, and one wheel passed- over his legs, tho right one receiving a compound fracture and the left being .severely injured. White was brought into the Hawera Hospital, where he died this morning.
