9 The recent resuscitation of the Wellington Miniature Rillu Association lias caused a strong revival of interest in the useful sport of rifle shouting in Wellington and the Hutt Vallev, almost all clubs having affiliated and takeu active part in tho work. A pleasing and interesting feature of this season's shooting is the keen interest taken and good shooting put up by the two ladies' clubs -Wellington South and'Feloiie. Tho latter club has several members competing for the Osman Challenge Cup (an individual contest), open to all clubs, and ; have put up somo good scores; in fact, one lady (Miss Wakelin)was running second for somo time. The competition for the Osman Rose Bowl for individual members of ladies' clubs is causing keen compeiition, several scores of 69 having been made. The Petonc ladies also entered a team for the Osman Shield, open to all , clubs; ten men a side, seven shots, and put up the fine score of 654 (Mrs.' Wilds 70, tho third possible this season, Mrs. • Stickles, Mrs. Warner, Mrs, Scrosrgs, and Mrs. Cunliffe. 67 each).'
