Sir,—The protest of "Awarua" in your issue of to-day deserves widest uonvmenilation. That any speech at the renewal of our oath to sea the present struggle through should have evoked "laughter" is truly Teprehensiblo. Such a meeting was- in a eenso a sacrament calling for solemn and dignilied'celebration.—l am, etc., G. August 8.
