Biirvatt, vice-president of the union, was in tho choir, and there wns a good attendance. Mr. Canghley first showed how the lesson should be prepared and then how it should he- put before tho scholars. Illustrations 011 tho blackboard were given to gliov,' how facts should bo impressed on the minds of tlie scholars. At the closo Mr. Ciuighley answered a number of .questions. Tho ladies of tho city schools provided supper. This was tho final lecture of this year's series. "Jack is awfully annoying at times. He made mo, so angry to-day that I picked np a book—" "What, you surely didn't throw it at him?" "Oh, no; I remembered in time that we weren't married yet." .
