REVENUE FROM RACE TAXES

At the annual meetin? of the Auckland .Racing Club, the chairman stated that' during the four years of the war the club had contributed to the revonuo as follows :-Totalisator and dividend tax .£92,170, land tax .£2874, amusement tax .£B9O, income tax (one year only) ',£463, making .£96,100 paid into the public accounts.
