$ THE PRESENT ARRANGEMENTS ANOTHER BALLOT THIS ' MONTH A memorandum issued ]>y the Director of Recruiting states it has been decided that drafts shall not bo sent into camp during December, 1918. Tho Forty-ninth (January, 1910) draft will be open as from August (i to recruits from (ho Second Division, so as to givo thoso men the three months' leave which they have been promised. Tho Forty-fifth, Forty-sixth, Forty-seventh, nnd Fortyeighth drafts will remain opon to recruiting from volunteers until eacli draft proceeds to camp in its turn. Nineteen nnd twenty-year-old recruits will, on being passed fit for aclivo service, bo sent forward with tho draft, leaving their groups twenty-eight days after they have been attested. Tho following aro tho dates of arrival in camp of tho next eight reinforcements and Cl drafts:— Reinforcement Drafts:—Forty-fifth, August 13-17, 1018; Forty-sixth, September 10-14, 1918; Forty-seventh, October 8-12, 1918; Forty-eighth, November 5-9, 1918; no Decombor draft; Forty-ninth, January 7-11, 1919; Fiftieth, February 4-8, 1919; Fifty-first, March 4-8, 1919; Fiftysecond, April 1-5, 1910. CI Drafts:—Eleventh, July 30-August 2, 1918; Twelfth, August 27-30, 1918; Thirteenth, Soptembor 24-27, 1918; Fourteenth, October 22-25, 1918; Fifteenth, November 19-22, 1918; no December draft; Sixteonth, January 21-24, 1919; Seventeenth, February 18-21, 1919; Eighteenth, March 18-21, 1919. At the present moment there are 88G4 Teservißts still to be drawn from Class C of tho Second Division. . These will' be drawn in two ballots as follows:— 5000 will be drawn in tho. twenty-first ballot, and their names will' be published in a Gazette dated Wednesday, August 21, 1918. The balance, 3864, will bo drawn in tho twenty-second ballot, and their names will bo published in h Gazette dated Wednesday, September 18, 1918. In addition there will probably be some 500 aocrotions on each occasion ; First Division men and those of Classes A and B of tho Second Division,
