Among the numbers to be given Uy the society (under tho baton of Mr. It. Temple White) will he two delightful iolk songs of Brahms. Four of the members of the chorus will contribute as a male quartet a setting by Mcvin of "The Hosary," which it i 3 expected will prove very popular. The ladies of tho choir will contribute "Stars of the Summer flight',' (West), and the programme will conclude with Eaton Failing's rollicking chorus . "Vagabonds." Other composers included in the very varied programme arc Leslie l'insuti, and Cyril Jenkins. As usual the majority of the concerted numbers will be without accompaniment. Assisting the society, will be ifr. H. lloschini (clarinet), who will play "Convertino" (Weber), and "Ballade" (Gade), and who will also bo heard in some ohbligatos which he has arranged for three charming American Indian songs new to a Wellington audience, which will be sung by Mr. Hamilton Hodges. Mr. Hodges will also contribute Beethoven's "Adelaide," a song rarely Bung by a, baritone. The box plan is at the Bristol and a crowded house is oxpectcd to greet the society when the curtain rises. . THE SCARLET TROUBADOURS. • Lovers of tho costume comedy form of entertainment will be pleased to hear that tho "Scarlet Troubadours" are to pay an other visit to Wellington after a lapse of several years. No better combination ever travelled under the banner of Mr. Edward Brauscombo, and though tho lapiro of time has of course brought changes in the company, it is said to still retain all tho old qualities which made it so popular. Tho "Scarlet Troubadours" will open a.season at the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Wednesday next, and expect to receive the same warm welcome as they were always given of yore.
