Three of the charges were of chcqiica—,l:2o on October 26, 1916, <1!5 on November 7, 1916, and .£2O on November IG, 1916. Other charges were of the theft of JC2I 13s. 7d. ' anil three other small sums, the allegation of the Audit Department being that accused received those moneys and failed to account for tho same. Tho prosecutor admitted that all the money had been paid in prior to the proceedings being taken. The accused was committed for trial, bail .being allowed.
