Great indignation .is expressed locally that (ho Bnilway Department had received no advice regarding the staio of tho Arthur's Pass railway. Passengers who left this morning did so at their own risk,' as tho railway officials were not advised whether the line was clear or not. Christchurch, July 27. Eegarding the complaint from Greymouth in to-day's Press Association message the railway officials here state that a telegram reporting (lie line clear was dispatched to the sUtiomnnsler at Greynlouth about 2 p.m. yesterday. Seeing that tho wires aro now hack to normal "that messago should have got through last night."
