The recipients include Brigadier-General St. George Grogan, ot the Worcester Regiment,- who throughout three days of intense fighting coininonded the infantry remnants of- the division with magnificent!, leadership, and stayed the thrust of the enemy's masses. Le spent the whole of the third day under fire, riding around the front lines encoura"ing, reorganising, and leading back retiring troops. , His horse was shot, and he continued his- work on foot.
