FRESH TROUBLE IN IRELAND
GOVERNMENT PROCLAMATION DEFIED. London, July 21. Tho Gaelic Athletio Association, as a direct challenge to the Government's proclamation, proposes to hold sports festivals throughout the country on Sunday week, without asking permission. Branches of the Sinn Fein have been instructed that they must not ask for or accepb permits. Demonstrations by the General Workers' Union are to bB made. The Hibernians and the United Irish League aro acting in a similar way in defiance of the Government.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
