CONSCRIPTION

Sir,—My opinion of conscription is that every uiau who is passed as fit should go into camp when notified and not be allowed to appeal. They say tho farms must be worked, and there I agree. Tint why not do away with tho CI camp and let the men there work the fiums? If there are not enough in the CI camp there are plenty of retired fanners who are not too old to work a farm. Again, tho men who pass as fit should be given three months after being before the medical board before entering camp. 1 say, do away with appeal boards altogether, and then people can say conscription is fair to one and all. I myself was called up and rejected, but did' not put in an appeal.—l am, etc., T. D. PARSONS, Farmer.
