FALSE DECLARATION
DECEIVING THE EEGISpAR OF (By Telegraph-Special Correspondent.)Mastcrton, July 23. Violet Hopkins, the IG-year-old daughter of a Mangamahoe settler, pleaded guiltv at the Magistrate's Court yesterday to having made a false declaration before the registrar of births, deaths, and marriages to the effect that she was 21 years of age. Percy John Iloptans, a member of tho Expeditionary Force, with whom she went through the ceremony of marriage, also pleaded guilty to causing the falso declaration to be made. Jjotli were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
