The funeral of the late Mr. Albert Edwin Exlev, an old and well-known resident of Wellington, took place yesterday afternoon at Karon Cemetery. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. An old colonist, in the person of Mrs. George Death, of Dominion Road, Auckland, died at her lato residence last Thursday evening, at tho ago of 7!) years. Mrs. Death, who was born in Collington, Cornwall, was brought to New Zealand by her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pond, landing at Wellington in February, 1810. After her marriage in 1857, Mrs. Death resided in turn nt Wellington, Eangitikoi, Whenuaknva. and Wavcrley, going to Auckland about 17 years ago. Tho deceased lady, who;" husband died in lfllfl, is survived by 10 children, 51 grandchildren, • and nine great-grandchildren.
