Mr. Ash lon, whose lette- appears below, has just completed eight months' service with the Australian Foices at Rabaul, and ho tells how Clements Tonic warded off a threatened attack of fever. He writes: "Clements Tonic, Ltd., "Whilst in barracks at Rabaul T bad symptoms of malarial fever. For days 1 could not eat, and only drank' your lonic, of which I had tnke i several large bottles with mo. "Jinny .of my mates were dosed daily with quinine, vvlio were surprised at the results of your medicine, as I rapidly recovered my health. "It was a pity many others did not tal<o it. The Navy offers financial inducements to the men to become good shots. A gunlaycr, Ist class, receives Sd. a day in addition tn the pay of his substantive rating, and there are corresponding allowances for the various grades of proficiency, down to 3d. a day for a seaman-gunner.
