Arrived.—lnvercargiil (7.20 a.m.), from Wellington, In view of tho leanest- of the authorities that shipping should navigate Cook Strait as far as possible in daylight, the failing times of the vessels belonging to_ the Anchor Shipping Company engaged in the Wellineton-Nelson service havo been altered. The Kaitoa will leave Wellington on Tuesdays and Fridays, and the Nikau on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and in the case of both vessels the time of departure has been fixed at 11 a.m. By the new arram:ei:icnt the Anchor Company will lose two" former sailing days per veel', Monday and Thursday. The Baden Powell arrived from New Plymouth yesterday morning after a very rough passage, havinc encountered the full force of the southerly gale. She is fixed to return to New Plymouth this evening.
