Christchurch, July 20; When Pilkington's Christcliurch-Akaroa mail motor-car was near 'Little River at noon to-day, on tho way to Akaroa, a dog got on tho rood, and tho driver, who was then going down hill, swerved the car—a big Cadillac—to avoid the animal. Tho road being greasy, the car turned over twice. Tho'eight passengers had a most miraculous escape, none being seriously injured, although most of them were badly bruised and cut.
