| BUSINESS AT ANNUAL JIBETrNG; • At the annual meeting of the Wellington Waterside Workers' Union, lieltl before starting work yesterday morning, about 1400 members wero present. Press representatives were (.xelnded, tho folloiv- ' ing report being supplied:—ln his annual report, the secretary (Mr. J. G. Bruce) dealt at length with tho activities of. tho union during the past year. Tho report and balance-sheet were adopted. The report from tho clelegato who attended the recent industrial conscription conference was received, and was adopted. The question of the wet weather clause was referred to tho disputes committee. In his report the returning officer for (lie annual election of officers stated that lie had found all the. nominations to be in order, and the meeting derided to lake it secret ballot on Thursday and , Friday next.
