BRITISH ATTACK .INFLICTS HEAVY LOSSES. (Roc. July 18, 9.45 p.m.) London, July 17. An Italian report says: "Tho British penetrated the enemy's lines south-east of Asingo, inflicting heavy losses. Tlfo enemy heavily stormed our advanced line southward of Coltasson, but was driven back. Wo gained ground in the northern region of Monte Grappa. A British and Italian official niessago states: "Tho Northumberland. 1 ; successfully raided positions south of Asiago. Wo destroyed thirty-five aeroplanes on July H and 15. One British machine is missing."—Atis.-N.SS. Cablo Assn.-Reuter. THE AUSTRIAN REPORT. London, July 17. An Austrian official report states: *'Wa repulsed four powerful Italian assaults at Monte Pertica and Solarolo with very heavy enemy losses."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reutor.
